About Sabrina
Sabrina is an artist-researcher, writer, educator, and advocate of conscious design.
She has been a playwright and dramaturg for companies like Tanghalang Pilipino, Philippine Educational Theater Association, and Atlantic Pacific Theatre. She has also worked with universities, public high schools, exhibition artists, and festivals such as the Virgin Labfest Fellowship Program, Women Playwright’s International, and Romania's Hektomeron Project. Her community arts engagements have led her to collaborate with agricultural workers, survivors of gender-based violence, the incarcerated, and climate leaders from Canada, India, and the Philippines.
While she mostly identifies as an amateur mycophile and dog mom, Sabrina is known also the resident dramaturg and moderator at Tanghalang Ateneo, the longest-running theater company of the Loyola Schools, Ateneo de Manila University. In 2020, she co-founded Jungle Gym Play Laboratory, an artist collective that dreams and enacts a planet overflowing with laro, lingap, and laya (fun, care, and freedom).
Sabrina devotes most of her time to reading things aloud, weaving hard data into soft love stories, and endlessly partaking in workshops from all sides. Otherwise, you will find her hiking and singing to her house plants.
